It's Throwback Thursday and today we're highlighting our Assistant Principal Mr. James. Here he is as a senior in high school. During his HS years he ran track and cross country and did community service through a group called Project Horizon.
Today our SCA met to discuss ideas to engage our student body. We're so fortunate to have strong student leadership. Remember, SCA is hosting a canned food drive!
A big thank you goes out to Better Living Building Supply for their donation of 19 hacks of 2x4s and 2x6s of varying lengths. This lumber will give students tons of opportunities to build sheds, cornhole boards, and small furniture. @betterlivingvirginia

Giving a shout out today to Cos 2, AHS student Carlos Hernandez who is leveraging his Cos skills to work 20-30 hours a week at Elemental Salon in Crozet as a salon assistant. Infection control, booking, and sales are a few of the skills he uses at work. He looks forward to begin building his own clientele soon. @albemarlecountypublicschools

Today we're featuring our first Profile of a CATEC Student for October: Olivia Cummings, a 12th grade homeschooled student from Buckingham who is studying in our Veterinary Science program. Olivia hopes to attend a 4-year college and use her Vet certs to work while in school.
