Our EMT, Nurse Assistant, and Fire Science students were visited by UVA Health's Pegasus reps as well as Charlottesville-UVA-Albemarle Emergency Communications Center reps to discuss the role critical care plays in these three emergency service programs. Students go to tour the Pegasus Ground ambulance and learn interesting facts about 911 history. Did you know the first 911 service was set up in Alabama? @uvahealth @uvapegasus

CATEC's SCA is conducting a fundraiser through November 22nd to collect needed items for people affected by recent hurricanes. Please consider donating some of the abovementioned items to one of the boxes in the CATEC hallways.


CATEC staff has been doing a lot of outreach this month. From giving student tours, to visiting private schools, to hosting Community Connects, we are always looking for ways to get local students access to our amazing programs. Thanks to all who connect with us.

Thank you to Dr. Bob Page for working with our EMT students on their manual ventilation course. It was so helpful for students to see their effectiveness in giving trauma support.
