CATEC is looking for an Office Associate/Database Administrator (24-32 hours/week) in the Adult Education office.

What knowledge, skills, and abilities we need you to have:
Being the Office Associate/Database Administrator necessitates you being well-versed in database software and the Microsoft Suite. You will also need to be tech-savvy with strong written and verbal communication skills. Because you are on the front lines, exemplary customer service traits, being even-tempered, and the ability to multi-task are critical. Being very organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills are essential. We strongly encourage collaboration, taking initiative, and being pro-active.
We would prefer that you had some knowledge of Adult Programs and Apprenticeship Training regulations. You will need the education or experience equivalent to graduation from high school with post-secondary coursework or training and at least four years of extensive, increasingly responsible experience in clerical work.
What you will be doing:
You will be working 10 months a year, 2:00PM - 9:30PM Monday through Thursday and sometimes on Friday as an integral part of the Apprenticeship and Adult Education office at CATEC. Your work will directly serve the adult students who attend CATEC classes, the CATEC instructors, and our community and business partners. Specifically, your roles will include managing the database information system, coordinating student attendance and grade reports, handling several of the financial tasks for the department, and providing reception, technical, and clerical support to the Apprenticeship and Adult Program Manager. You will work possibly 24-32 hours a week depending on needs of the office and the Program Manager. There may be times when it will be necessary for you to close/lock the building at 9:30PM and set the alarm before leaving.
