CATEC is looking for a Certified Nurse Aide instructor for the 2021 Spring semester.

You will be sharing your expertise as a Registered Nurse to teach our 120-hour Adult Nurse Aide course approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing. Your students want to take their skills and training to the next level. We do what we do because of them.

We are a small office that serves the local trade industry by offering Department of Labor and Industry approved apprenticeship classes, as well as adult education programs, for local adults wanting to change their careers or receive skills training to help them find employment. What knowledge, skills, and abilities we need you to have:

The ideal candidate shall hold a current, unrestricted Virginia license as a registered nurse or a multi-state licensure privilege. In addition, you will need to have two years of experience as a registered nurse within the previous five years and at least one year of experience in the provision of long-term care facility services.

What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for teaching two evenings a week from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. and the class will also meet for five Saturdays for 8-hour clinical shifts. Class days may vary: Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday. Each class is approximately 10 weeks in length starting in February, 2021. Five of those weeks include the Saturday clinical rotations.
