Day of Caring

The Blue Ridge Mountains Rotary Club and the State Farm Angels made a difference at CATEC during the United-Way - Thomas Jefferson Area Laurence E. Richardson Day of Caring 2008.   Members from both organizations spent the day teaching our students about financial literacy.  Students learned about savings and checking accounts, credit, stocks, identity theft, and creating a budget.  We would like to thank the following volunteers for spending time with us and sharing valuable information with our students:  Shelanda Winkey, Jesse Ward, Venus Townsend, Candace Tinsley, Monal Rajani, Priyangka Das, Chris Broomall, Ward Campbell, Pamela Girdley, Bob Hamlin, Countney Hoopes, Bob Kahn, Eric Parker, Susan Shipley, Tom Slonaker, Henry Weinschenk, Jack White, Keith Woodard
